9. ਰਾਜਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ (1948 – 1959)

After India’s independence, Rajbir Singh held the title of Raja of Jind. His reign, however, was relatively brief, and he ruled in the context of a newly independent India that had begun the process of integrating princely states into the Indian Union.
He is remembered for his attempts to adapt to the political changes following the end of British rule.
10. ਜਗਤਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ (1959 – ?)
ਜਗਤਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਵਿਵਾਦਤ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਅਣਿਸ਼ਚਿਤਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਮਿਤ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਦੌਰ ਸੀ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਆਸਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਘੱਟਦੀ ਗਈ।

11. ਰੰਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ (1944 – 1992)

12. ਗਜਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘ (1981 – 2016)
ਗਜਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁਦਾਇ ਨਾਲ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਸਥਿਰ ਰੱਖਣ ’ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰਤ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਜੀਂਦ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ 2016 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ।

13. ਜਗਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ (1979 – 2018)
ਜਗਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਗਤਿਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਸਿਹਤ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਛੋਟਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ।

Satbir Singh: The Modern Maharaja of Jind
Satbir Singh, also known as “Prince Sunny,” was a prominent figure in the history of the Jind princely state. Born in 1940, he was the eldest son of Maharaja Rajbir Singh, who ruled Jind until its merger into the Indian Union in 1948. Following his father’s death in 1959, Satbir Singh ascended to the symbolic title of Maharaja of Jind.
Known for his passion for sports cars and racing, Satbir Singh actively participated in rally circuits for many years. He held various positions, including CEO of The Royal Angler and directorships in companies such as GL Hotels Ltd and JMA Industries Ltd. He was also a member of the Heritage Motoring Club of India.
Satbir Singh passed away on August 18, 2023. Following his death, the administration in Sangrur initiated steps to reclaim over 300 acres of prime land that had been granted to the Jind royal family, as the land was to revert to the Punjab government upon his demise.
His life reflects a blend of royal heritage and modern pursuits, marking the transition of princely states into contemporary India.
